Self Preservation Motivates Holistic Healing, Point #1: Ayrial shares her story and how she got involved with her business.

Luxurious Peace was started from a place of a need, Ayrial got sick in 2018 with topical steroid withdrawal which stems from an overproduction of medication inside of your body. Unfortunately, Ayrial had eczema, a skin disorder, since she was five years old. She was put on hydrocortisone shots and ended up getting sick, her organs started shutting down. This is where self-preservation came into Ayrial’s journey. She began to wonder how she could heal herself, all her doctors kept telling her to use more medication, but this didn’t seem like the answer.

She decided to find an alternative way to heal her body. She’s always been interested in holistic healing and healing through food, so she decided to dive deeper into this. Ayrial found out that her eczema is an autoimmune disorder, and that she also had leaky gut syndrome. This meant it was easier for bacteria to accumulate on the lining in her gut, and this bacteria caused her skin to react as it leaked into her body. She saw a holistic doctor, who introduced her to acupuncture and auricular therapy. When it comes to diet, Ayrial began an elimination diet removing GMOs, processed foods, sugars, meat, and dairy. She explains that self-preservation is about being meticulous and cognitive of what you are putting in your body and doing to your body.

Self Preservation Motivates Holistic Healing, Point #2: A lot of toxicity currently in our foods are refined vegetable oils – we don’t think about that.

A lot of foods that contain things such as refined vegetable oils or seed oils cause toxins. A big toxin lies in BPA which is found in our plastics. BPA stands for Bisphenol A, this is a chemical compound used as a preservative. This can be found in the lining of our canned foods or baby bottles. This helps to keep the structure of the plastic but is also something that ends up inside of our bodies. We have to be very careful about the plastics we use to store our food, the food absorbs that BPA. This disrupts our cells and the production of our cells, for example skin cells, a lot of people don’t realize we shed and lose skin cells every day, but we also replenish them. Absorbing BPA doesn’t help our body perform this important process because we are poisoning our bodies with these compounds that are FDA regulated and deemed as safe for us.

Another toxin is trans fat. Trans fat is hydrogenated oils, this raises the LDL in your body, the bad cholesterol. Then, it lowers the HDL, which is good cholesterol. We all know that when our LDL is raised and HDL is lower, that causes heart disease. Trans fat is something we need to stay away from. Another huge toxin to avoid is polycarbonate aromatic hydrocarbons, those are found in coal and tar deposits. If an engine is on fire and breaks down, the chemical elements from that such as lead or mercury could be on the ground after the engine is burnt up. That's the stuff that's in your food. This is stuff being added into the makeup of your body.

Self Preservation Motivates Holistic Healing, Point #3: Start by educating yourself, knowledge is power.

Reading and math, if you know these basics, you’re already halfway there. Educate yourself, you don’t need to become a vegan or remove certain things from your diet, it’s about being aware. The older we get, the more our bodies start to break down. A lot of people have fertility issues, they don’t realize what plays a role in those issues. Be more cognizant of what you put in your body, read the labels, read the ingredients. These compounds are not good for our planet, if it’s not good for your environment, why would it be good for you?

Other tips from Ayrial on how you can start taking a more holistic approach to health and healing include changing your diet. Eat better, eat a well-balanced diet. Incorporate fruits and vegetables more often. This will also bring a mindset shift – if you want to optimize your business, you have to optimize your body and your mind. Take care of the vessel you’re using to build your business and make money. If you have big goals, you have to fuel yourself properly. It's a progressive change if people want to make a change, do it in small doses. Don’t eliminate everything straight away.

Self Preservation Motivates Holistic Healing with Ayrial Griffin: Main Takeaways

When you are educated you have the power and the right to make informed choices. Health is wealth, we have to protect our health. That's the most valuable asset we have. Without it, we are nothing. Taking on holistic health and healing doesn’t have to be complicated, start by being more aware of the things you put in your body. Within time, the healthier choices you make for your body and your life will reflect in every area, including your business.
